Mighty Math Power

"Why won't you let me do more math? It's like you don't want me to be a mathematician?" Those were the words from my little math monster the other day. Fortunately, we have come to an understanding: he can't finish his Life of Fred math book in one day, and I'll let him do more than one lesson a day.

Waiting for the next Life of Fred books to arrive.

Seriously! The books are inexpensive at $16 a pop, but one book per day is ridiculous. Plus I want to make sure he's getting those mighty math concepts. Hooray for Stanley Schmidt and his Life of Fred books!

There here! Can you see the difference in his concentration?

The only thing that would be better than seeing his interest in Math is seeing this same intensity for God's word. Guess what? It transfers. He doesn't ever want us to stop reading when we're doing devotion, and when it's over, he'll often be off in a corner some where reading more. We've cut the dependence on television and video games, and that has made a huge difference in our lives.

If you have questions, you can call him at home. The number is listed on his site.

Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.   ~ Psalm 90:12

Happy Counting,

Simocha
