When the waves are seemingly against us . . .

We all know that our world is getting worse. There's nothing we can do to save our planet. It will be destroyed. Sometimes it feels like everyone else is against us and we are standing in the waves alone, but in reality we are holding hands with believers all around us.

A few days ago, I had the pleasure of visiting a local health food store that I just love. I'd been going there for years, but hadn't visited the new location for eight months. Can I say it felt like visiting an old friend? The owner and I got to talking and we spoke about the need for prayer, and how sad it is to see the love of sinfulness that has overtaken our country.

I realized then that it's not just our little community of believers that are fighting the good fight of faith. It's all of us, on our knees, day after day, crying out to God to deliver us from evil and may his will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Please, Lord

It seems our country has exchanged the truth for a lie. The prophet Isaiah said, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter." ~Isaiah 5:20

Those of us in the faith are not confused by what we see. We know that these are the signs of the times, that the return of King Jesus is imminent. So, we live our lives doing what has been commanded--loving God and loving people--sharing the gospel and the water from the well that will never run dry.

"Therefore my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."   ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58

May I encourage you though the waves are seemingly against us; we do not stand alone.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin that clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."  ~Hebrews 12:1

Happy Weekend to you.

Simone
